Reflection

Reflection is a multidimensional exhibition by Aleksandra Jakuć that explores the relationship between the material and the immaterial—between physical objects and intangible phenomena such as light, movement, sound, and time. Presented as a cohesive spatial composition, the exhibition creates an environment of constant interaction, where individual works influence one another and continuously reshape the viewer’s perception of the whole
The title reflection operates on two interconnected levels: as a physical reflection and as a mental process of contemplation. The exhibition employs natural and artificial light, reflective metal surfaces, motion, and sound to construct situations in which the viewer becomes an active participant. In some works, the audience encounters their own reflection; in others, perception shifts subtly through movement, changing illumination, or transient elements such as fog or flame.
Interactivity and multisensory engagement are central to the exhibition’s structure. Viewing extends beyond sight alone, incorporating sound, spatial awareness, and bodily presence. Changeability emerges as a key theme—objects appear differently depending on the time of day, light conditions, and the natural transformation of materials such as steel, metal, and glass.
