Metal tableware elements
2024

CORE is a series of metal tableware objects designed to support multisensory dining experiences. The collection includes aluminum elements that function both as candle holders and bases for floral compositions inspired by ikebana, as well as details cut from stainless steel pipes used as rests for cutlery and napkins.

Developed in collaboration with Idan Gilony of UY Studio in Berlin, CORE explores the intersection of functionality, ritual, and material presence. The objects are conceived as subtle yet expressive components of the table, shaping atmosphere through light, reflection, and spatial arrangement rather than overt ornamentation.

By combining raw industrial materials with carefully considered proportions, CORE redefines everyday dining accessories as performative objects. Candlelight becomes a sculptural element, while floral compositions introduce organic forms that contrast with the precision of metal. Together, these elements frame the table as a site of interaction, attention, and shared experience.

Beyond its use as tableware, CORE functions as part of immersive culinary events held in Berlin, where food, objects, light, and spatial choreography merge into a unified sensory environment. Positioned between object design and experiential practice, the project emphasizes the role of designed artifacts in shaping collective rituals and embodied perception.
